People just don't learn

Waffles just called me to say Claire called asking if we could drive her to the doctor on Thursday.

Lemme stop for a second... Claire had a vehicle once. She's had several over the years. She's also lost her license on numerous occasions for letting her insurance lapse (New York gets pissed when you do that). Most recently she bought a car from a small garage and was making payments to the garage owner (no lien or anything was ever filed) and she took the car and gave it to someone who was supposed to make the payments for her. That person never did, and she had already signed the title over so there was nothing she could do. Word gets around, so she'll never find someone who'll work with her to get her a car again.

Anyway, this is the second time since this whole WT drama started that she has asked us for a ride somewhere. We hadn't heard from her asking for a ride in quite awhile, but since we apparently helped WT she thinks that should apply to her. I called her house and left a message on her machine telling her that we both worked so she'd have to find another ride there. She also lives about 15 miles from our house and 30 miles from the doctor, so taking her to the doctor and back would be close to a 100 mile trip.

My son told her he didn't know what our schedules were, but he did ask where WT was. Claire told him she was staying at Thing One and Thing Two's house and apparently didn't go to work this morning because Thing Two wouldn't drive her (she's the only one in that house with a license.)

So I've come to the conclusion that all of WT's bluster about "Ima go stay with Chuckles!" was a bluff... she was hoping we'd say "that's not really necessary, WT, stay with us. It's better if you stay with family!" But instead we told her "alright, don't let the door hitcha where the good Lord splitcha."

So as an update, WT is staying with Thing One and Thing Two, it appears. Not sure what this'll do to her stuff, but I have a feeling one of three things are going to happen:

1) We're going to be asked to drive her stuff to Thing One and Thing Two's house.
2) Thing One and Thing Two will show up to get the stuff, probably tonight when Thing Two gets out of work.
3) Same as Thing Two, but WT will be with them and they'll confront my wife over not letting WT stay with us and an argument will erupt.

Not sure which of the options will happen, but however it ends it'll be interesting.

If anyone does bother to come down on you or your household for not being more accommodating to WT, I would say "I thank you for your input, but WT feels the help we were able to offer was not sufficient, and therefore she will be making other arrangements."

I unfortunately won't be home when this happens, since i have to work at The Ghetto tonight. So unless they show up before 6pm I'll miss it all.

Now that is a damned shame, admiral. This needs video and an experienced reality tv editor.
